This is one is all about texture and layers. It was a bunch of multi-colored target designs (with generous helpings of paint on the brush) overlapping each other and then washed over with pale yellow and eggshell. For the targets, I purposefully paired colors that weren’t pleasing to my eye just to…I don’t know…give myself a jolt. I don’t want to fall into a “yawn, Mandy likes blank blank blankety blank combo” trap. But you can already tell I love my red. In fact I’m wearing a red polka dotted dress right now*.
