DotsWithinDots: Earth Edition.
Not much of a story behind it. I got the idea from the glass globe paperweight on my desk. (Reading that sentence over, it makes it seem like the paperweight squeaked, “do a painting of meeeee!” Not going to change it.) So I spot-copied the design from the globe onto the canvas. Yeah, countries are not to scale, I’m sure I don’t have to say. Anyway, I really like how it turned out. I love globes, maps, atlases, etc. Comes from my love of travel. I even have a tattoo of the Earth on my shoulder. It’s a great reminder that the world is big and beautiful. So much to see. Probably won’t get to it all but my Land Quest* idea is still in the back of the my mind.
*Land Quest: visit every sovereign state in the world with the word -land or -lands. According to Wikipedia, here is the full list:

I’ve hit Iceland, Ireland, The Netherlands, and Switzerland. I plan on seeing New Zealand next year. Nothing written in blood so if I don’t get to them all, I still will have fun trying.
